E-Cert issuance: Please note that it may take approximately 2-3 weeks for the CITB to issue your E-Cert. The CITB SSSTS course concludes with an exam consisting of 25 questions. Four of these questions are designated as "safety critical" and require written answers. Multiple choice questions: Each worth 1 point. Safety critical questions: Worth 1 to 3 points each. To pass the exam, candidates must: Answer all safety critical questions correctly (minimum score of 4 points). Achieve an overall score of at least 80% (24 points out of 30). Passing the exam and completing the course leads to the award of the CITB SSSTS certificate, which remains valid for five years.
