SMSTS

This 5-day CITB SMSTS Training course equips individuals with the knowledge and skills essential for managing safe working environments in the construction, building, and civil engineering industries. It's designed for site managers, agents, and anyone who currently or will be responsible for planning, organising, supervising, and controlling teams.

The course covers:

Relevant legislation: Understand the legal framework governing safety in construction.
Safe working practices: Learn about best practices for preventing accidents and injuries.
Risk assessment: Master the process of identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
Control measures: Implement effective strategies to control risks in the workplace.
Communication: Develop strong communication skills to foster a culture of safety among your workforce.

By completing this course, you'll gain the confidence and competence to effectively manage safety on construction sites.

Mandatory Entry Requirements

English language: A good understanding of spoken and written English is required. If you have any concerns about meeting this requirement, please contact us for further information.
Valid identification: You will need to provide a copy of a valid ID, such as your passport or driver's license.
E-Cert issuance: Please note that it may take approximately 2-3 weeks for the CITB to issue your E-Cert.

The CITB SMSTS course concludes with a mandatory 25-question exam to assess the delegates' understanding of the course material. The exam format is as follows:

Number of questions: 25
Question types:Multiple choice: 18 (1 mark each)
Multi-response/short written answer: 7 (2 marks each)
Pass mark: 81% (26 out of 32 marks)

It's important to note that attending all five days of the SMSTS course is mandatory. This ensures delegates acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the program's learning objectives and qualify for the SMSTS certificate.
